Tamos’ flaps lifted in surprise as it listened, but it did not interrupt. It logged the data, and when she was finished it shook its head. “I apologize. I… I did not mean to cause you to remember anything… unpleasant. Thank you for sharing, however.” Several questions presented themselves, all requesting elaboration on several points in her story, but it suppressed them. “I will not press for more.”

It glanced around uncomfortably, hands clasped tightly. “Perhaps… we should change the subject?”

” Oh no… It’s alright. I will have to face this matter at one time or another but… Yes, I would like to change the subject… Thank you for listening. It’s a hard subject but I do feel a bit better on getting to tell someone about it.” Anya’s smile returned, her hands still running through a section of her hair. Her emerald optics glanced around them for a moment before a question rose to the surface of her mind. “Oh! Have you had any trouble getting to all the different areas of the Citadel? Even time I go to look around at all the different places, I seem to get lost.” She chuckled, a bit more to herself. Anya was what most of called… Directional-challanged… And she hated it.

Tamos’ flaps fluttered in slight amusement. “I have, yes, but due to… security issues. Though I have clearance to be here, I am often stopped by an officer while they contact their supervisor for confirmation. It is… inconvenient.

“Most people seem to ignore me, fortunately. However, sometimes, if one person acknowledges my presence—by attempting to… engage me, or… yelling at me—others will quickly follow. I have found it best to… remove myself from the area when that occurs.

“However, I have never gotten ‘lost’, as I have downloaded a thorough map of the Citadel into my platform for mental reference. …If… if you require help finding someplace, or if you get lost, I would be glad to help, however.”

It lifted its omni-tool, transferring both its contact information and a copy of its map to hers.

Her fingers froze. She should have known this would happen.. Anya breathed a bit, trying to calm her rapidly increasing heart-beat. “Where I was born… I wish I could remember the name.” She closed her eyes for a moment. A small flash of her memory… “I remember opening my eyes to see water falling from the sky. It was very humid and damp. All the time…” She gulped a bit before continuing. “Plants could hardly grown there due to the amount of rain fall over the years…” 

“I was born in a facility. Not like those who were grown in a tank… Not one of those. I did have a mother and father. I still have a father but…” She shook her head, trying to erase that memory. “Anyways, it was a lab that I was born into really… My father a scientist and my mother… I can’t really remember why she had been there but she was there.” Her smile returned at the thought of her mother. Her finger’s began to fidget again. “I escaped… My father had had other plans for me so I left, after being trapped in that awful… for 4 years… In a tank. But not after the tests… ” Her raven-haired head shook before she remembered too much.

“Sorry, I’m still trying to remember it and yet… I get a little feeling in my gut that I shouldn’t.” She chuckled a bit, her hands going to run through her hair. Another one of her other twitches.
